Former Kisumu Town West Member of Parliament, Rev. Kenn Nyagudi, has passed away after a long illness. The sad news was confirmed by former Nyakach MP, Peter Odoyo, who announced that Nyagudi died on Sunday evening while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing.
Nyagudi was elected as the MP for Kisumu Town West in a 2004 by-election, following the death of Joab Omino earlier that year. He served the remainder of Omino’s term but was later defeated in the 2007 general election by Olago Aluoch.
Throughout his tenure in Parliament, Nyagudi was known for his commitment to public service and his contributions to the development of his constituency. His death has left many mourning, and tributes have poured in from political figures and residents alike, remembering him for his dedication and leadership.
Nyagudi's passing marks the end of a significant chapter in Kisumu's political history, and he will be remembered for his service to the people.
