The Fukuza Njaa 2025 chapter officially concluded today, marking a significant milestone in the fight against hunger and food insecurity in Transnzoia County. The initiative, which saw a tremendous turnout from local farmers, has successfully brought together community members, leaders, and agricultural stakeholders in a bid to promote sustainable farming practices and food security for the county.

In a heartfelt message, Governor George Natembeya expressed his deep gratitude to the thousands of farmers who participated in the initiative, calling them the “real MVPs” of the program. The Governor emphasized that the Fukuza Njaa initiative was not only about planting crops but about planting hope and fostering self-reliance among the people of Transnzoia.

"I am truly grateful to all the farmers who showed up in large numbers to support this noble cause," Governor Natembeya said. "You are the heart and soul of this project, and your dedication is what will make the vision of food security a reality."

The initiative, which focused on improving agricultural practices and increasing food production, was also supported by members of the County Assembly who participated in the event. The Governor expressed his appreciation for the leadership shown by the local legislators, acknowledging their support in pushing forward the agenda for agricultural growth and sustainability.

"I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the members of the County Assembly who joined us today. Your involvement has strengthened the sense of unity and collective responsibility in our mission to achieve food security," Natembeya added.

As the planting season begins, the Governor urged farmers to remain hopeful for favorable weather conditions, calling on God to bless the region with sufficient rains for a bountiful harvest. "May this season bring an abundant harvest, and may our efforts continue to bear fruit in the months ahead," Natembeya said.

The successful completion of Fukuza Njaa 2025 marks a critical step toward Transnzoia's long-term goal of food security, sustainable agriculture, and improved livelihoods for its residents. The Governor encouraged continued collaboration and support from all sectors to ensure the initiative’s goals are fully realized.

In closing, Governor Natembeya reiterated the importance of community solidarity, urging all residents of Transnzoia to continue working together for a prosperous future.

"Let us stay united, love one another, and continue to support each other as we work toward a more food-secure Transnzoia," he said. "Happy planting season, and may God bless us all."
