Trans-Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya today joined family, friends, church members, and residents of Simatwet in Kiminini Sub-County for the emotional burial ceremony of Mama Anne Nanjekho Simiyu, the late mother of Mwalimu George Wanjala, the Secretary of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) in Trans Nzoia.
Mama Anne, who passed away recently, was remembered as a kind-hearted and selfless woman whose life served as a beacon of hope and guidance to many. Her warmth and caring nature touched the lives of those around her, leaving an enduring legacy of love and service to the community.
In a moving tribute, Governor Natembeya expressed his condolences to the grieving family, noting that Mama Anne’s unwavering support and dedication were evident in the many lives she positively influenced.
