We, the young people of Kenya, take this moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto and the Right Honorable Prime Minister, Raila Amollo Odinga for the well-deserved appointment of Fikirini Katoi Kahindi Jacobs as the Principal Secretary, State Department for Youth Affairs.
This appointment is a defining moment in the quest for youth inclusivity in governance. It paves the way for a new era where young leaders are actively involved in shaping the nation’s future, ensuring that policies and decisions reflect the realities and aspirations of Kenya’s youthful population.
Fikirini Jacobs is the perfect example of a young Kenyan with a big dream. Born and raised in a humble village in Bamba, Ganze Constituency, Kilifi County, his journey from a small-town upbringing to earning degrees from two of Kenya’s top universities embodies the struggles and determination of many young people.
