Kiambu County Woman Representative, Hon. Ann Wamuratha, has reaffirmed her commitment to inclusivity and community development following a high-level engagement with Akorino leaders from across the county. The meeting, held in her office, focused on critical issues including faith, economic empowerment, and the active participation of Akorino youth and women in various government-driven development initiatives.
The fellowship provided a platform for open dialogue on ways to uplift the Akorino community while preserving their cultural and religious values. Hon. Wamuratha acknowledged the unity and dedication of the Akorino fraternity, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fostering sustainable growth.
“Our discussions centered on key proposals and agendas that will benefit the Akorino community. It was inspiring to see their commitment to progress while staying true to their beliefs,” she stated.
A key highlight of the engagement was the exploration of opportunities within government programs such as the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF). Hon. Wamuratha assured the leaders that her office is dedicated to ensuring that the Akorino people—especially women and youth—access resources meant to boost economic empowerment and social welfare.
This initiative aligns with her broader vision of fostering inclusivity, strengthening community ties, and promoting equitable access to development opportunities for all Kiambu residents.
By championing such engagements, Hon. Wamuratha continues to position herself as a leader committed to addressing the unique needs of all communities in Kiambu County, ensuring no group is left behind in the county’s development agenda.
