Kenya School of Government and Dele Momodu Leadership Centre Explore Collaboration for Leadership Transformation Across Africa

The Kenya School of Government (KSG) and the Dele Momodu Leadership Centre and Library in Ibadan, Nigeria, are exploring opportunities for mutual advancement in leadership transformation across the African continent. The discussion, which took place this afternoon, was aimed at identifying ways both institutions can collaborate to foster growth, governance, and leadership development within the region.

The meeting was attended by notable figures in leadership and organizational transformation, including Basorun Ayobamidele Momodu, Chairman and CEO of Ovation Media Group; Dr. Wale Akinyemi, an expert in organizational culture and transformational leadership; and Yemi Edun, Founder and Managing Director of Daniel Ford International. They met with Prof. Nura Mohamed, Director General of the Kenya School of Government, to explore the potential for cross-border working relationships between the two institutions.

The conversation centered on key themes such as governance, leadership, youth empowerment, cultural transformation, and faculty exchanges. Discussions also highlighted the importance of reflective learning initiatives and the sharing of experiences to improve leadership across Africa. Both sides expressed enthusiasm about the potential to collaborate in developing innovative leadership programs that could benefit a wide range of professionals and future leaders in the region.

"Collaboration across borders is vital for the collective growth and progress of Africa," said Basorun Momodu. "By sharing our experiences and knowledge, we can build a stronger leadership framework that resonates across different African nations."

Prof. Mohamed of the Kenya School of Government emphasized the significance of youth empowerment and leadership education as pillars for sustainable development in Africa. "Our future leaders must be equipped with the necessary tools, values, and skills to navigate the complexities of governance and drive meaningful change," he said.

As the discussion unfolded, both parties agreed that fostering a culture of transformative leadership would require the exchange of ideas, research, and faculty resources to enhance the quality of leadership programs on the continent.

With plans to strengthen academic ties and establish joint initiatives, the Kenya School of Government and Dele Momodu Leadership Centre aim to serve as catalysts for the growth of Africa’s leadership landscape. Through this collaboration, the organizations hope to pave the way for a brighter future driven by visionary leadership across the continent.
