Kenya School of Government Partners with Women Enterprise Fund to Empower Entrepreneurs

By John Kariuki

The Kenya School of Government (KSG), under the visionary leadership of Director General Prof. Nura Mohamed, has forged a strategic partnership with the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) to enhance the capacity of entrepreneurs across the country. This collaboration aims to equip business owners with essential skills to unlock their full potential and drive economic growth.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed by Prof. Nura Mohamed, KSG Director General, and Racheal Musyoki, CEO of WEF, marking a milestone in entrepreneurial development. Through this partnership, the two institutions will implement targeted programs such as entrepreneurial skills training offered both in-person and through e-learning to provide business owners with critical knowledge. The initiative will also include a Training of Trainers (ToT) program to build a network of qualified trainers who will mentor and support grassroots entrepreneurs. Additionally, research on digital fund disbursement will be conducted to improve efficiency and accessibility in financial support mechanisms for women-led businesses.

The signing ceremony was graced by key officials, including Dr. Josephine Mwanzia, Senior Director of Academic Affairs at KSG, Dr. Jane Langat, Chairperson of WEF, and Dr. Prisca Oluoch, KSG Director of Linkages and Collaborations, alongside other senior representatives from both institutions.

This partnership is set to revolutionize entrepreneurial training in Kenya, ensuring that business owners, particularly women, gain the necessary skills and resources to thrive in a competitive economic landscape.
