The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) continued its nationwide public participation forums on the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) Regulations, 2025, with a key session held at the Nyeri National Polytechnic for the Central Kenya Region.
The forum brought together stakeholders from Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga counties to review and provide input on the proposed regulatory framework. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the credibility, quality, and standardization of qualifications within Kenya’s education system.
Under the stewardship of KNQA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Alice Kande, the Authority has remained committed to strengthening Kenya’s qualifications framework through an inclusive and consultative process. Her leadership has played a crucial role in ensuring that the review of the KNQF Regulations is aligned with industry needs, global education standards, and national development priorities.
The public participation forum in Nyeri provided an essential platform for education providers, employers, and other key stakeholders to share insights that will help refine the regulatory framework. The KNQA is dedicated to ensuring that qualifications awarded in Kenya remain competitive, relevant, and internationally recognized.
As the nationwide forums continue, the Authority encourages all stakeholders to actively participate in shaping the future of Kenya’s education and training sector. The KNQA remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and excellence in the implementation of the KNQF Regulations 2025.
