The President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Faith Odhiambo, has reaffirmed the society’s commitment to upholding integrity and fighting corruption within the justice system. Speaking at the launch of the Anti-Corruption Strategic Guiding Framework by the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ), Odhiambo described the initiative as a crucial step towards entrenching a zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
"The launch of this Framework is an encouraging undertaking in attaining the all-too-necessary zero-tolerance policy on corruption," she stated.
As a key player in the administration of justice, LSK pledged its full involvement and support for all initiatives aimed at securing and maintaining integrity within the sector. Odhiambo emphasized that adherence to and implementation of the National Values outlined in Article 10 of the Constitution is fundamental to achieving a judiciary that is truly independent and reliable.
"For us to have a fully independent and dependable Judiciary capable of delivering justice to all, adherence to these values must be a priority," she noted.
She further assured that LSK would actively participate in ensuring the successful implementation of the Framework, reinforcing the legal fraternity’s role in the fight against corruption.
The launch of the Anti-Corruption Strategic Guiding Framework marks a significant milestone in strengthening Kenya’s justice system, with stakeholders rallying behind efforts to enhance accountability and restore public confidence in judicial institutions.
