MWEA WEST – The month of March is set to be an exciting one for football lovers in Mwea West as the Mary Maingi Football Tournament kicks off with a series of high-stakes knockout fixtures. Organized in honor of Hon. Mary Maingi, the Member of Parliament for Mwea, this tournament is aimed at nurturing young football talent while fostering unity and sportsmanship in the region. The action begins tomorrow, March 2, 2025, at Kiarukungu Primary School.
Football fans from across the constituency are eagerly anticipating the tournament, where local teams will battle for supremacy in their quest for the championship title. The tournament has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting grassroots football competitions, providing a platform for young players to showcase their skills and make a name for themselves.
The opening day will feature four thrilling matchups:
Kiorugari vs Ndindiruku Mathare – 9:30 AM

Kiumbu Sharks vs Mafans Kimbimbi – 12:00 NOON

Murubara vs Kimbimbi – 2:00 PM
