Moiben Constituency Member of Parliament, Prof. Phyllis Bartoo, has officially commissioned the construction of the Karandile-Kapkoros-Kapsiliot road, a major infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and supporting economic development in the region.
The commissioning took place earlier this week, with Prof. Bartoo emphasizing the significant role the road will play in boosting accessibility for residents and facilitating the movement of goods and services within the area. The road project is expected to enhance transportation and provide a reliable link for local communities, reducing travel time and improving the quality of life for the people of Moiben.
Following the commissioning, Prof. Bartoo proceeded to assess the ongoing construction works on the Tangasir-Soiyo road, where grading, murraming, compaction, and box culverting are currently underway. The project is set to further enhance the infrastructure network within Moiben, particularly in areas that have historically faced poor road access.
While inspecting the progress, Prof. Bartoo expressed satisfaction with the work done so far and reiterated her commitment to ensuring that all ongoing projects in the constituency are completed to the highest standards. She highlighted the importance of these road improvements for enhancing regional trade, access to education, healthcare, and other essential services.
"This road will not only improve the lives of the people in Karandile, Kapkoros, and Kapsiliot, but will also have a positive impact on the entire Moiben constituency," Prof. Bartoo said. "Improved roads are key to unlocking the potential of our communities, and I am committed to ensuring that we continue to invest in such crucial infrastructure projects."
Prof. Bartoo thanked the local residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction phase and assured them that their needs would continue to be prioritized in future development plans.
The MP also noted the significance of the Tangasir-Soiyo road project, stating that the completion of grading, murraming, compaction, and box culverting would improve drainage and road durability, ensuring better conditions during the rainy seasons.
The inspection and commissioning of these projects come as part of Prof. Bartoo's broader efforts to improve the quality of infrastructure and services across Moiben. Local residents have expressed their gratitude for the MP's tireless efforts to address their concerns and improve living conditions in the constituency.
The Karandile-Kapkoros-Kapsiliot road and the Tangasir-Soiyo road are expected to be completed within the set timelines, ensuring lasting benefits to the communities in Moiben.
