National Police Service Commission Chairperson Candidate Komora Mubadi Jilo Collapses and Dies in Nairobi



 Tragedy struck today as Komora Mubadi Jilo, a candidate for the position of chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), collapsed and died while waiting to be interviewed by the Selection Panel in Nairobi. Jilo, who had previously run for the Garsen parliamentary seat in the 2022 elections on a PAA ticket, passed away at the Public Service Commission offices along Harambee Avenue.

The incident occurred as Jilo was one of four candidates scheduled to be interviewed for the coveted NPSC chairperson role. He was reportedly waiting in the lobby of the Public Service Commission building when he suddenly collapsed. Despite efforts by those around him to provide assistance, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Friends and colleagues have described Komora Mubadi Jilo as a hardworking, dedicated individual, and a game-changer in his community. "He was someone who always aimed for excellence and worked tirelessly to bring positive change," said one of his close friends. "His passion for serving the public was evident in everything he did, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him."

Jilo’s attempt to join the National Police Service Commission was seen as the next step in his long-standing commitment to public service. His ambition to contribute to improving Kenya’s security sector and the welfare of police officers was widely respected, and his death has left many shocked and saddened.
