Speaking during the distribution exercise, Natui emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting women, particularly widows, to ensure they have sustainable income sources. He reiterated that his leadership will continue uplifting them until every woman can provide for her family by earning money for food and school fees.
“My administration is dedicated to ensuring that no woman, especially widows, struggles to put food on the table. We will continue with such empowerment programs to transform the lives of our people,” Natui stated. He further urged residents to support his leadership as he works towards improving their livelihoods.
The initiative has been well received by beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude to the MCA for his efforts. Joyce, one of the recipients, appreciated the move, noting that it would greatly improve her financial situation.
“This is a good initiative, and I am sure I will soon have many chickens that will help me earn a living. I am a widow without a job, but with this support, my problems will soon be a thing of the past,” she said.
Another beneficiary, Chemtai, also lauded the project, expressing optimism about her future earnings from poultry farming.
“I am happy that I now have something that will generate income for me. Mheshimiwa, thank you very much, and may God bless you,” she said.
The poultry project is expected to significantly improve the livelihoods of the women in Ngenyilel Ward by providing them with a sustainable source of income and economic independence.
