Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for a new KES 28.5 million, 12-storey classroom block in Wareng High School one of the biggest day school. According to Kapseret Mp this marks a significant step towards improving the region’s educational infrastructure and ensuring every child in Kapseret has access to quality education.

Speaking at the ceremony, MP Sudi emphasized the crucial role education plays in shaping the future of children, calling it a fundamental right for all. He stated that the new facility would provide students with the necessary resources and opportunities to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.

"I am thrilled to witness the groundbreaking of this modern educational facility in Wareng, which is a testament to our ongoing commitment to ensuring that every child in Kapseret has access to quality education," Sudi said. "Education is not just a right; it is the foundation upon which every child’s future is built. This facility will equip our students with the tools they need to succeed and excel in the world ahead."

The new facility, set to be one of the most advanced in the region, will offer ample classroom space, modern teaching equipment, and an environment conducive to learning. This initiative aligns with Sudi’s broader vision to uplift the quality of education in Kapseret and ensure that every student, regardless of their background, receives the education they deserve.

In addition to the groundbreaking ceremony, Sudi also participated in the disbursement of KES 71.7 million in bursary funds to deserving students across Kapseret. The bursaries are aimed at alleviating financial barriers to education, ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of resources.

"This bursary fund is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that no child is left behind due to lack of resources," Sudi added. "Every student, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. With these funds, we are investing in the future of our children, and by extension, the future of Kapseret and Kenya as a whole."

The MP's remarks were met with support from local residents and educational leaders, who hailed the groundbreaking as a much-needed boost to the region’s education system. The Chief Guest at the ceremony, Gatundu South MP Elijah Kururia, commended the school administration for their efforts in the development of the facility and emphasized the importance of hard work for students' future success.

"The administration has done a commendable job," Kururia said. "They have not let down President William Ruto, who once attended this very school. I urge students to work hard so that they can become something remarkable in the future."

Wareng High School Principal Dr. Shadrack Ngetich,OGW also praised MP Sudi’s initiative, noting that the new classrooms would significantly enhance the quality of education. "Since most of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, with many coming from slums, the classrooms will ensure a better student-to-teacher ratio, which will allow for more personalized and effective learning," Dr. Ngetich said.

Residents of Wareng and the surrounding areas expressed optimism about the positive impact the new facility will have on the local education system. With the construction set to begin shortly, the community is hopeful that this initiative wills open doors to a brighter future for the students of Kapseret.

MP Sudi reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in the region and ensuring that the children of Kapseret are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. "I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the best education for our children, because their future is the future of Kapseret and Kenya," Sudi stated.
