For as long as I could remember, I felt like an outsider. No matter how hard I tried to make friends, people always seemed to dislike me for no reason. At school,
I was the student who was always left out of group projects. At work, my colleagues barely spoke to me unless it was necessary. Even in my own family, there was always a feeling of distance between me and my relatives.
I couldn’t understand why. I was friendly, respectful, and kind. Yet, it seemed like everyone had an unspoken grudge against me. Some even spread rumors about me, making it even harder to connect with people.
I tried everything—self-improvement books, therapy, even changing my
appearance—hoping that something would make me more likable. But nothing
