Reuben Kigame Calls for Focus on National Transformation, Urges Kenyans to Shun Tribal and Personality Politics

Reuben Kigame, Deputy Party Leader of the Justice and Freedom Party (JFP), has called for a shift in focus toward the genuine transformation of Kenya, urging citizens to move beyond tribal and personality-driven politics. In a powerful statement delivered to the press, Kigame emphasized that authentic change in the nation would only be possible if Kenyans united to address the root causes of corruption, lack of integrity, and the deterioration of essential sectors such as health and education.

"We must all admit that for far too long, the politics of tribe and personalities have dominated our national discourse, distracting us from the real issues that are holding our nation back," said Kigame. "If we are serious about authentic and radical transformation, we must put aside our differences and focus on eradicating the theft in government, restoring integrity, and rebuilding our collapsing health and education systems."

Kigame’s comments came in the wake of increasing concerns over corruption scandals that have plagued Kenya’s government, especially in critical sectors such as health and education. He lamented that the continued mismanagement and embezzlement of public funds have crippled vital services, leaving many Kenyans without access to the basic services they deserve.

"Our health and education systems are in shambles, and the people who are supposed to be held accountable continue to escape scrutiny while the citizens suffer," he remarked. "Instead of investing in the future of our children or in the well-being of our people, billions are squandered, and it is the common Kenyan who bears the brunt."

Kigame emphasized that the country's transformation requires more than just political rhetoric. "We need to stop the cycle of talking about change and actually begin implementing it. We must end the culture of impunity that has allowed corruption to thrive. If we don’t address this, no matter who holds power, our country will continue to falter," he said.

The Deputy Party Leader further highlighted that Kenya’s future depends on creating a system built on integrity, transparency, and accountability. He stressed that the government must not only focus on eradicating theft but also prioritize long-term solutions to the country's challenges, starting with reforming key sectors that have been neglected for far too long.

"The education system is failing our children, and our hospitals are places where people go to die instead of being healed," Kigame added. "This is unacceptable. As a nation, we cannot continue down this path. It is time for real leadership — leadership that doesn’t only promise change, but delivers it."

Kigame also issued a call to action, urging citizens to demand better governance and hold their leaders accountable. "We must stand united against corruption and the mismanagement of public resources. We must all have a stake in ensuring that our country’s wealth is used for the betterment of all Kenyans, not the enrichment of a few."

He concluded by emphasizing that the Justice and Freedom Party (JFP) remains committed to working toward a Kenya where every citizen can thrive, free from the shackles of corruption and poor governance. "It is time for us to work together to create a nation where the people come first, and where our children inherit a country that is built on justice, integrity, and opportunity."

As Kenya faces pressing challenges, Reuben Kigame’s call for a shift away from divisive politics to a focus on national issues has resonated with many Kenyans eager for a government that works for them. His message continues to rally those who seek a brighter and more equitable future for the country.
