Sakaja Inspects Roads Construction In Kilimani Ward

Nairobi Governor H.E. Sakaja Johnson conducted an inspection of Kindaruma Road construction and Chania Avenue in Kilimani Ward this evening.

The governor, who was accompanied by the area Member of County Assembly, Hon Moses Ogeto, called for speedy completion of the remaining part of Kindaruma Road as he assured of plans to begin the rehabilitation of Chania Avenue to the residents and business men in the area.

This comes as Nairobi City County Government has heightened construction and rehabilitation of roads all across the county. The project has seen major roads in Nairobi Wards recarpeted, rehabilitated and redeveloped to the relief of Nairobi residents.

The project is aimed at easing mobility, bringing order, and restoring dignity in the city. The projects are being undertaken by the Mobility and Public Works Sector.

In addition, Nairobi City County Government, in collaboration with Kenya Urban Road Authority (KURA), has plans to extend the road construction of various roads, including Vanga Road, Mamlaka Road, George Padmore Road, Chaka Road among others.

The Governor was also accompanied by Nairobi Committee Executive Member for Mobility and Public Works, Ibrahim Auma, and Chief Officer for Public Works, Eng. Geoffrey Tirop.
