Kibirigwi, Kirinyaga County – Kirinyaga County Assembly Speaker Muteti Murimi has reaffirmed his commitment to improving service delivery and healthcare access through a successful Huduma Mashinani Initiative and Medical Camp at Kibirigwi Chief’s Office, Kiine Ward.
Spearheading the initiative in partnership with Huduma Centre Kirinyaga and Aster Health Care & Ophthalmology, Speaker Murimi oversaw the delivery of critical government services alongside free ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) and eye consultations. Over 1,000 residents benefited, with many receiving prescription glasses and subsidized medication, ensuring improved healthcare accessibility.
A major breakthrough from the initiative was the identification of 15 patients requiring specialized ENT surgeries, which will now be conducted free of charge. This life-changing intervention highlights Speaker Murimi’s dedication to ensuring that vulnerable residents receive much-needed medical attention.
Accompanied by Area MCA Hon. Geoffrey Murimi, Hon. Thomas Mwangi, Hon. Milker Thoithi, Hon. Isaiah Mbogo, and local administrators, Speaker Murimi engaged with residents and personally monitored service delivery, reinforcing his hands-on leadership approach.
Expressing gratitude to the initiative’s partners and service providers, Speaker Murimi emphasized the importance of collaboration in bridging gaps in service delivery. “I appreciate our partners for their dedication. Together, we continue to bring essential services closer to the people, ensuring no one is left behind,” he stated.
Through his leadership, the Huduma Mashinani Initiative continues to transform lives in Kirinyaga County, demonstrating a firm commitment to responsive governance and improved healthcare for all.
