CS Kipchumba Murkomen Mourns Pope Francis: “A Voice of Reason and Compassion”

Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kipchumba Murkomen has paid tribute to Pope Francis, describing him as a global beacon of compassion and moral clarity.

In a statement released following the pontiff’s passing, CS Murkomen hailed the Pope’s legacy of promoting peace, interfaith unity, and advocacy for the marginalized.

“Pope Francis stood out as a voice of reason and compassion in an increasingly troubled world,” said Murkomen. “His relentless efforts to bridge interfaith divides and champion the rights of the poor and downtrodden helped shine a spotlight on the often overlooked injustices of our time.”

Murkomen expressed deep condolences to Catholics in Kenya and across the globe, urging comfort and unity during this time of mourning.

“I wish to send a message of condolence to the Catholic faithful in Kenya and all over the world following his untimely demise,” he said. “I pray for comfort for the Catholic community and the entire Church during this period of profound grief.”

He concluded his tribute by honoring the Pope’s enduring spiritual legacy: “May the soul of Pope Francis rest in eternal glory.”

Pope Francis, who served as the first Latin American pope, died at the age of 88 after facing prolonged health challenges.
