Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kipchumba Murkomen has extended his warm congratulations to Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku and Hanna Cheptumo following their appointment as Cabinet Secretaries for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programs, and Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage, respectively.
In a statement released on Thursday, CS Murkomen also sent his best wishes to the newly appointed Principal Secretaries, noting that their selection marks another important step in strengthening service delivery and accelerating the government’s development agenda.
“I warmly congratulate Hon. Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku and Hon. Hanna Cheptumo on their well-deserved appointments to the Cabinet. I also extend my best wishes to the newly appointed Principal Secretaries as they assume their critical roles,” Murkomen stated.
He lauded President William Samoei Ruto’s continued commitment to building an inclusive, competent, and cohesive government rooted in meritocracy, national unity, and dedication to public service.
“These appointments underscore His Excellency the President’s unwavering vision for a government that reflects the face of Kenya, driven by passion, professionalism, and a deep desire to serve the people,” Murkomen said.
Driving the Bottom-Up Agenda
The Interior CS noted that the injection of new energy into the Executive would further fast-track the implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), a cornerstone of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s policy platform.
“A cohesive and energised Executive is essential for the efficient execution of BETA and will enhance the delivery of services to every Kenyan,” he added. “With renewed leadership across ministries and departments, we are on course to deliver a transformed, equitable, and opportunity-filled future for all.”
CS Murkomen reaffirmed the Ministry of Interior’s continued collaboration with all government agencies in safeguarding national security, promoting good governance, and enabling a conducive environment for economic transformation.
“As always, the Ministry of Interior remains committed to supporting inter-ministerial coordination, maintaining law and order, and ensuring peace and cohesion across the country,” he said.

In conclusion, Murkomen called on all government officials, public servants, and citizens to support the new appointees and to remain focused on building a stronger, more united Kenya.“Let us rally behind our colleagues as they take up their responsibilities.
