Former DP Gachagua Meets Delegation from Meru and Tharaka Nithi, Discusses Plans for New Political Party

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed his unwavering commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous Kenya, following a fruitful meeting with a delegation from Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties. The delegation, led by former Senator Mithika Linturi and former MPs Maoka Maore and David Kariithi, gathered to discuss preparations for the launch of Gachagua’s new political party.

The meeting, held today in Nairobi, was described as both productive and inspiring, with Gachagua and the delegation delving into the vision for the movement and the significant role these counties will play in shaping the future of the party.

Reflecting on the discussions, Gachagua acknowledged the concerns raised by the delegation, which echoed the frustrations of many Kenyans. These included issues such as bad governance, poor health and education systems, widespread insecurity exacerbated by cattle rustling, and a hostile business environment. He also highlighted the persistent problems of brutality and coercion, which continue to affect the lives of ordinary Kenyans.

“We must fix this Nation,” Gachagua declared, emphasizing the need for systemic change to address these pressing issues.

In a heartfelt message to the people of Meru County, Gachagua spoke of his deep connection to the region, describing it as the land of his late mother. “To the great people of Meru, I love you,” he said, reflecting on the emotional and historical ties he shares with the community.

The former Deputy President reiterated that the resolve for a better Kenya was unstoppable, stressing that this new political movement would bring about the change that Kenya desperately needs.

The meeting marks a significant step towards the formation of Gachagua's new party, with strong backing from key political figures in Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties, signaling the party’s growing influence in the central and eastern regions of Kenya.

With the launch of the new party on the horizon, Gachagua’s message of unity, reform, and progress is resonating widely, as he seeks to mobilize Kenyans to take charge of their future and build a nation full of opportunities and unmatched progress.
