Uasin Gishu Governor, Jonathan Bii, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming Eldoret into a global business hub. In a recent engagement with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Eldoret Chapter, Governor Bii and Chapter Chair, Willy Kenei, discussed strategies to expand investment opportunities and foster a business-friendly environment in the region.
During the meeting, the governor highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects that are set to accelerate trade and industrialization both locally and internationally. Key developments include the Export Processing Zone and the County Aggregation and Industrial Park, which are expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing Eldoret's economic potential.
Governor Bii emphasized that Eldoret is not just open for business but is actively seeking local and foreign investors. He noted that competitive incentives and strategic partnerships will be offered to attract investment into the region, setting the stage for long-term economic growth.
This engagement comes ahead of the highly anticipated Eldoret International Business Summit, scheduled to take place from April 24th to 26th. The summit will serve as a key platform for networking, investment promotion, and showcasing Eldoret's vast economic potential to both local and international business leaders.
The county government is working closely with stakeholders to unlock new opportunities, positioning Eldoret as a leading regional economic powerhouse.
