Kenya Dairy Board Takes Nyandarua by Storm in Vibrant Dairy Roadshow Led by Chairman Genesio Mugo

The Kenya Dairy Board (KDB) has hit the ground running with an exciting and impactful Dairy Roadshow across Nyandarua County, aimed at promoting sustainable dairy farming and enhancing milk quality throughout the region.


Spearheaded by KDB Chairman Genesio Mugo, the roadshow brought together farmers, dairy stakeholders, and local communities for hands-on engagement across key towns including Mairo-Ikumi, Ndaragwa, Gwa Kúngú, Leshau, Shauri, Mairoinya, Ol-Jorok, Kasuku, Rurii, Captain, Ndemi, Tumaini, Ndunduri, and Ol-Kalau.


With Chairman Mugo firmly at the helm, the initiative focused on delivering expert insights, practical demonstrations, and modern dairy farming practices  all designed to boost productivity, sustainability, and farmer incomes. Key topics included milk hygiene, quality control, animal nutrition, and market linkage strategies.


“Our mission is to empower dairy farmers with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in today’s dynamic agricultural landscape,” said Chairman Mugo. “Nyandarua is a dairy powerhouse, and by working hand-in-hand with these vibrant communities, we’re building a resilient future for the industry.”


The warm reception from residents and enthusiastic participation from farmers demonstrated the region’s unwavering commitment to dairy excellence. The Kenya Dairy Board expressed its gratitude to the people of Nyandarua for their hospitality, energy, and shared passion for growth.


With the rallying call of moo-ving forward together, the roadshow not only cemented stronger ties between farmers and the board but also highlighted KDB’s dedication to transforming Kenya’s dairy sector one community at a time.
