The Kenya School of Government (KSG) is reinforcing its collaboration with the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) to enhance climate change adaptation efforts in Kenya. This partnership aims to build capacity at both national and local levels, equipping institutions and individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle climate-related challenges effectively.

This afternoon, KSG hosted Prof. Patrick Verkooijen, Chancellor of the University of Nairobi and CEO of GCA, for a high-level discussion with KSG Director General, Prof. Nura Mohamed. Their meeting focused on critical issues ahead of the planned rollout of climate change programs to be undertaken at KSG.

Prof. Mohamed was accompanied by a distinguished team of senior officials, including Dr. Tom Wanyama, Acting Senior Director of Finance and Administration; Dr. Josephine Mwanzia, Senior Director of Academic Affairs; Dr. Prisca Oluoch, Director of Linkages and Collaboration; and Dr. Rachel Ngesa, Director of Learning and Development.

The discussions underscored the importance of integrating climate change adaptation strategies into governance and policy frameworks, ensuring that Kenya remains resilient in the face of environmental challenges. This collaboration is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance institutional capacities, and promote innovative solutions for sustainable development.

KSG remains committed to playing a pivotal role in climate change adaptation by fostering partnerships that drive impactful action and sustainable progress across the country.
