President William Ruto today commissioned the Nanyuki Affordable Housing Project, a significant step toward providing decent and accessible homes for Kenyans across Laikipia County. The project, which features 200 modern residential units, is part of the government's ambitious Affordable Housing Program spearheaded by Principal Secretary for Housing and Urban Development, Charles Hinga.
Under the leadership of PS Hinga, the State Department of Housing has successfully rolled out numerous housing projects aimed at addressing the country's housing deficit while promoting economic empowerment through job creation. His relentless efforts in policy formulation and project execution have played a crucial role in transforming Kenya’s urban housing landscape.
The Nanyuki project offers a range of housing options tailored to accommodate different family sizes and financial capabilities. The units include studio apartments, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom homes, all designed with modern and spacious layouts to enhance quality living.
The Affordable Housing Program remains a key pillar in President Ruto’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), with PS Charles Hinga at the forefront of ensuring its success. Through such initiatives, the government is not only providing shelter but also driving economic growth by creating employment opportunities in the construction industry.
