Rigathi Gachagua Hails Machakos County Residents for Rejecting Political Chicanery

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has praised the people of Machakos County for what he termed a clear and resounding message against political deceit and underhanded dealings. Speaking after a well-attended public meeting in Makutano and Mlolongo, Gachagua expressed his gratitude to the residents for their unwavering commitment to integrity and national progress.

“The voice of the people is the voice of God,” Gachagua declared passionately. “Today, Machakos County has spoken loudly. The great people of Makutano and Mlolongo have sent a powerful message – that the days of political chicanery in our beloved nation are numbered.”

The former DP did not shy away from referencing the current political climate, suggesting that Kenyans are increasingly tired of broken promises and manipulative politics. While he stopped short of naming individuals, his message was unmistakable.

“Kenya deserves leadership that is honest, transparent, and people-centered,” he said. “What I have seen here today gives me hope – we shall be back, better, for a great Kenya.”

Gachagua’s visit comes amid growing speculation about his political comeback, with many of his supporters calling for a reinvigorated movement rooted in accountability and grassroots empowerment. His remarks in Machakos have only fueled the conversation around his next move.

As the 2027 general elections loom on the horizon, Gachagua’s words could signal the beginning of a new political chapter—one that seeks to rally disillusioned citizens around a platform of reform and national unity.
