TopHill Hospital has reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare to teachers across the country during the just concluded KNUT Executive Secretaries Welfare Association (KEXWA) National Conference held at Farm View Hotel in Busia.
The hospital was represented by its Head of Marketing, Mr. Joseph Bor, who joined over 100 KNUT Executive Secretaries from all the 110 branches across the country. The high-profile event was graced by KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu and KEXWA National Chairman Mr. Sammy Bor.
In his address, Mr. Joseph Bor expressed gratitude to the KNUT leadership for standing with TopHill Hospital and reaffirmed the hospital’s readiness to strengthen ties with KNUT at all levels.
“We are truly thankful to the KNUT leadership for their continued support. At TopHill, we are ready and willing to partner with all branches to bring our services closer to teachers, wherever they are,” said Mr. Bor.
The hospital received accolades from KNUT’s top leadership for its exemplary role in addressing the medical needs of teachers. Mr. Oyuu and Mr. Bor both praised TopHill for consistently offering quality healthcare and becoming a trusted partner in teachers' wellness.
The conference also saw the discussion of a recent issue involving MAKL (Medical Administrators Kenya Limited), which had temporarily withdrawn direct access to TopHill Hospital and other facilities for its clients. However, following swift intervention by KNUT Executive Secretaries from the North Rift region and KNUT SG Collins Oyuu, the directive was rescinded within a day, restoring TopHill Hospital’s status as a referral facility under MAKL.
“The swift reversal of that directive is a clear demonstration of the unity and proactive leadership within KNUT. We are glad to continue serving our MAKL clients with the quality care they deserve,” added Mr. Bor.
The Busia conference was marked by renewed commitments from both healthcare providers and KNUT leadership to work closely in safeguarding the health and well-being of teachers, a critical workforce in national development.
