The Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs expressed deep sorrow for the loss of life and devastation caused by the natural disaster, emphasizing that the Kenyan government is closely monitoring the situation. In its advisory, the ministry urged Kenyans in both Myanmar and Thailand to take immediate safety precautions to ensure their well-being.
Kenyans currently residing in the affected regions are encouraged to stay informed by following local news and official alerts for updates on aftershocks and emergency response efforts. As the situation remains fluid, the government stressed the importance of adhering to local disaster management agencies’ evacuation orders and safety guidelines.
