Middle-Aged Woman Crying For Justice After She Was Evicted From Her Matrimonial Home

A middle-aged woman from Uasin Gishu is looking for justice after his stepsons evicted her residence in Elgon View Uasin Gishu County,

According to Abimael Ng’eny this comes after her ailing husband lost his memory, the incident has left her homeless without food, and clothing despite having a small child.

She now says her life is in danger after she was threatened by her stepson.

“I am passing through a lot since I was evicted from my home my properties were taken even as I am, talking my inner pants were also taken, and I don’t have anywhere to stay. I reported the matter to Langas police station and up to now nothing has been done,” said Ng’eny while speaking to the press.

Abimael is blaming Langas police officers for their reluctance concerning the same noting that her life is in danger due to the threats from her stepsons.

“I have recorded statements at the Langas Police Station and have over four OB Numbers on various days and months but unfortunately the Police at the Langas police Station have turned a blind eye to my plight, I have been forced out of my matrimonial home, threatened and I am now living a miserable life despite my husband having to allot of property,” she added.

“The police ignored me and they are now leaning towards my In-laws who have made me desperate. In fact, my life is in danger since am facing a lot of threats and my children are living in tension”, Abimael added,

Human Rights Activist from Center Against Torture Kimutai Kirui said that the lady has recorded over four OB’s but nothing has been done.

“Abimael has recorded over four OB Numbers on various days and months but unfortunately the Police at The Langas police Station have turned a blind eye to her plight, She has been forced out of her matrimonial Home, threatened, she has been currently forced to live a miserable life of abject poverty and despite the efforts to seek assistance from this station no help her come her way,” Said Kirui.

The Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Ayub Ali has said the matter is under investigation and has urged members of the public complaining over the conduct of the Langas Police Station OCPD to file their complaints.
“I had earlier received complaints concerning Abimael Ng’eny but it was about wealth and since I have received a new case investigations will be done without any compromise and the law shall be followed to the latter “, said Ayub.

Globally,an estimated 736 million women almost one in three have been subjected to physical and or both at least on in their life (30 percent of women aged 15 and 49 olds)
