32 self-help Groups in Moisbridge Ward Empowered Financially
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii officiated empowerment program for 32 self-help groups in Moisbridge ward
Governor Bii said Self-Help Groups are a practical avenue for wealth creation, expanding investments, and improving livelihoods.
“These resources will significantly enhance the business activities of our young men and women within these groups,” governor Bii said.
These groups received various resources, including canvas tents, seats, solar panels, water tanks, umbrellas for the business community, electric tailoring machines, and sporting uniforms for 22 teams, among others.
Area MCA Hon. Patrick Kimaiyo urged resident to form groups for them to get loans from both the National and County governments.
“Today am happy because over 32 self help groups have been empowered financially, this is just but the beginning other groups will follow,” said Bishop Patrick Kimeli.
“I want to call upon residents to form groups registered them to get funds from both the County and National government which is at their disposal. This is the only way that will help you improve your livelihood.
Bishop Kimeli said his administration will serve everyone equally whether they voted for him or not.
“I don’t have any grudge with anyone my I with work with all under ‘Usawa kwa wote’,” he said,
One of the beneficiary thanked the area MCA saying the initiative will help them earn a living.
“Today we have received seats, they will help us to get income since we will be hring them during functions.We will no longer involve ourselves in crimes and using illegal liquor,” he said.
