Mining PS Spearheads Tree Planting Exercise
Principal Secretary for Mining Elijah Mwangi on Monday participated well in the National tree planting exercise.
Together with his colleague for Cooperatives Patrick Kilemi, PS Elijah Mwangi also flanked Cabinet Secretary Simon Kiprono Chelugui, EGH as he spearheaded tree growing exercise in Murang’a County in line with H.E. President William Ruto’s directive of planting 15 billion trees by 2032.
The national tree planting initiative is aimed at combating climate change and global warming.
“As a State for mining , we’re going to fully play our part in this initiative and, so far, we have mobilized all institutions and partners to ensure the national goal is achieved.”
