Northrift chairman of the Muslim Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) Sheikh Abubakar Bini has condemned the heinous acts against Muslims in China.
Bini said the move is uncalled for and against human rights.
“As the Muslims committee from the Northrift region we want to condemn the heinous acts being witnessed in China against Muslims livijhin the North-Western region of Xinjiang.
China has also been accused of targeting Muslims and banning religious practices in the region, as well as destroying mosques and tombs.
Bini wondered why majority of countries with Muslim communities are keeping quite while the right of Muslims are being infringed.
“It’s sad that despite what is going on China Muslims dominated countries have kept quite, it’s only the European countries thta have talked about it, why are they keeping quite yet lives are being lost,” Bini added.
He urged Muslims across the world to condemn the acts with strongest terms possible.
“Muslims living across the world are the same and if ones right is infringed it affects all of us, let’s rise to the occasion and speak against the ills being witnessed in China,” he added.
