Uasin Gishu Gubernatorial Aspirant Donates Cows to seven men’s groups Under a Program dubbed ‘Mzee na Ngombe’
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant David Singoei has surprised many after he donated cows to seven men’s groups.
This is his through his program dubbed ‘Mzee na Ngombe’
Singoei says dairy production is an important pillar of food security.
“Today I presided over an exercise of handing over cows to seven men groups.It’s an implementation of county government Mzee na Ngombe program. Dairy production is important pillar of food security.It is a major contributor towards achieving global sustainable developmental goals(SDG),” he said.
Singoei is currently the Ngenyilel ward MCA and Uasin Gishu County Assembly Chief whip.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant called on residents to join dairy farming Cooperatives for them to benefit from the funds offered by both National and County Government.
“I want to call upon residents to form and join dairy farming cooperatives.It is by so doing that they can get value of their products. Societies will ease access to loans,” he added.
Singoei has declared his interest did the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat which is currently being held by governor Jackson Mandago who is serving his second and final term in office.
The seat has attracted former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki, Kenyas ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok, Jonathan Bii alias ‘Koti Moja, David Kaprotuk, Sarah Serem, Peris Simam, Veska Kangogo among others.
He is among the front runners for the same.
“In my bid of becoming the next governor I’ll prioritize reduction of production cost,free high breed insemination and maximization on the use of modern technologies to enhance productivity,” he said.
Singoei further called on Uasin Gishu residents to elect him as governor once the term of the incumbent governor Jackson Mandago term comes to an end.
He said he is fit to take over from the incumbent who is serving his second and last term in office.
“I want to call upon Uasin Gishu residents to elect me as their governor come 2022, my aim is to transform the county and continue with what the current governor has done,” said the Ngenyilel Ward MCA.
Singoei has served for over 10 years as MCA and chief whip.
“I have all that it takes to be the county’s governor after serving as MCA of Ngenyilel Ward and I urge residents to support my candidature and I promise to work for them for a better Uasin Gishu. Mandago has done a great job but I will do more,” he added.
