Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Gladys Boss Sholei Celebrate the Fall of BBI in Style
Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi and Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys Boss Sholei Celebrated the fall of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) in styles.
This is after the Supreme Court termed it as null and void.
Sudi said welcomed the Supreme Court ruling saying BBI has held Kenyans hostage.
“Celebrating death of BBI.BBI is one of the many issues that has held our country hostage. Our country is stuck because those in charge prioritized the BBI nonsense. They have spent about 20B public money for their selfish gain and greed. We thank our judiciary for standing firm with Kenyans all the way from superior court, court of appeal and now Supreme Court,” said the Kapseret member of parliament.
Sudi is a staunch supporter of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto’s presidential bid in the fourth coming general elections.
But his bid has been rubbished by the dynasties led by COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli and Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe terming him as corrupt and cannot be trusted with the country’s leadership.
“This great day marks the end of conman ship and betrayal. Kenyans have been conned for long, it’s time we free them from the chains of dynasties. #KenyaKwanza will deliver Kenya to prosperity,” he added.
Uasin Gishu woman representative Gladys Solei said the 2nd schedule of the BBI Bill that creates extra constituencies is the most unconstitutional part of the bill and that she is confident that the courts will throw it out. The BBI task force has no power whatsoever in any part of law to create constituencies.
“I said repeatedly that BBI is unconstitutional, I said that Uhuru Kenyatta has no power to commence amendment of the constitution through a popular initiative, today I have been vindicated by the Supreme Court. Hallelujah,” he said.
