Jubilee Party Hands Nomination Certificate of Huruma Ward to Wakili Kimani Wanjohi
The Jubilee party has given Huruma Ward aspirant Wakili Kimani Wanjohi a nomination certificate to carry its flag in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking to the press Wakili Kimani Wanjohi thanked the party for believing in his leadership and promising to deliver the seat to the party.
“I want to thank the Jubilee party for giving me a certificate and nominating me for the MCA Huruma Ward seat and I promise that I will deliver the seat in the forthcoming August polls,” said Wanjohi while speaking to the press.
He said the due process was followed and that the popular candidate was given a certificate to fly the Jubilee party ticket in the forthcoming elections.
“The process was free and fair where all candidates that I was competing with were put in one house and we were told to have consensus but it did not bear fruits, they later did opinion poll where I became the most popular candidate thus given the certificate,” he added.
He thanked Huruma Ward residents for standing with him.
Wakili Kimani Wanjohi said the Azimio la Umoja will only have one MCA candidate in Huruma ward.
“We had discussions with the ODM party through representative Andrew Sure who was my main competitor to step down for us to have one candidate in Huruma ward for us to win the seat overwhelmingly,” he said.
He further assured residents of their security before, during, and after the 2022 general elections.
“I want to tell residents that this time round don’t run away during the electioneering period since everything is in order and their security will be guaranteed. I will also keep peace and also ask my competitors to maintain peace before during and after the general elections,” Wakili Kimani Wanjohi
said.
Wanjohi said in the August polls they are targeting to get over 8 MCA seats.
“We are targeting to get 8 MCA seats in Langas, Huruma, Kapsaoa, Uinet Kapsuswa, Moisbridge Olare Ainako, Turbo Constituency, Kipkaren,” he added.
