Uasin Gishu Clergy Applauds Kenyans For maintaining Peace During the August Polls

Uasin Gishu Gospel Ministers Chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui has applauded Kenyans for maintaining peace before, during, and after the August polls.

Speaking to the press Bishop Kurui said this is a gesture where every Kenyan termed his neighbor as brother and sister despite the election results.

“As religious leaders from the region we want to applaud Kenyans for maintaining peace as the Country was facing a critical season of the election, the process went on smoothly without any problems. Thaank you Kenyans for maintaining peace since Kenya is bigger than anyone,” said Bishop Kurui.

The Uasin Gishu Gospel Ministers Chairman called on Kenyans to maintain peace as the opposition leader Raila Odinga headed to the Supreme Court to challenge the results of the election.

“We know the opposition leader Raila Odinga is heading to the supreme we want to urge Kenyans to continue with the peace that we have been enjoying no matter the outcome let’s maintain peace,” he added.

Bishop Kurui congratulated president-elect William Samoei Ruto for being elected as the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya.

“I want to congratulate president-elect Dr. William Samoei Ruto for being elected Kenya’s 5th president, we have faith in him and we know he will transform this Country. Congratulations Ruto and we pray God to give you glamour to lead this nation,” he said.

“What we want to tell you as the clergy work with everyone whether they voted for you or not since you are now everyone’s president and a symbol of national Unity,” he said.
He thanked the clergy for praying for the Nation during the electioneering period.
“Clergymen and ministers of the Gospel thanks for the prayers that you made and people should accept the results and go back to work since if you will not work you will not eat,” he added.
