Bini Congratulates President-Elect William Ruto
North Rift Council of Imams and Muslim Preachers of Kenya chairman Sheikh Abubakar Bini has congratulated deputy president William Ruto for being declared president elect.
This follows the announcement by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Wafula Chebukati .
Bini congratulated the president Elect on his win and thanked the IEBC for conducting the election process peacefully.
“I want to congratulate the deputy president for winning this election,we believe that God has chosen him to lead us and him having been elected he should lead all Kenyans in the account of those who voted for him or did not vote. Congratulations our president,”
North Rift Council of Imams and Muslim Preachers of Kenya chairman advised the president elect to fulfill his manifestos where he promised Kenyans now that he has gotten the opportunity to be the Country’s 5th president.
He urged the members of the public to continue maintaining peace even after the elections have been conducted and the results announced stating the country is bigger than individuals and now it’s time to focus on development.
“We want to thank the residents of Uasin Gishu County for choosing the leader they want by voting for him however they should maintain peace and remain vigilant as we wait for the swearing-in of the president-elect, “added Solomon cholal chair of churches Uasin Gishu county.
Adan Isaac and Imam on his part said they have come together as religious leaders to preach peace before the elections to ensure the residents remain calm.
Previously religious leaders have taken a lead to preach peace before the elections as they prepared the residents to accept the outcome of the election and to eradicate violence of any kind.
However to the alter surprise the residents were full of excitement especially the supporters of the deputy president who came out in large numbers across the streets to celebrate his win.
