Bungoma governor-elect Kenneth Lusaka Applauds Residents For Voting For Him

Bungoma governor-elect Kenneth Lusaka has applauded the resident for voting for him as the 3rd governor in the just concluded general elections.

Speaking to the press Lusaka said he will work with everyone whether they voted for him or not for the betterment of the people of Bungoma.

“I want to thank Bungoma residents for giving me a chance to serve them as their 3rd governor in thee just concluded general elections, 2013 they gave me 240,000 votes and this time 241,000 thank you very much and I won’t let you down,” said the Bungoma governor-elect while speaking to the press.
Lusaka served as the Senate speaker after he was defeated by the outgoing governor Wycliffe Wangamati who was vying on DAPK party ticket.

“I thank you very much for believing in my leadership and I promise not to let you down I will work to ensure I make a government that will cater for all the promises made during the electioneering period,” he added.
Lusaka will be sworn in on Thursday together with his deputy.

“I want to welcome you on Thursday where my swearing-in will be done take place at Kibabi University and thereafter lunch will be served at Nzoia Guest house,” he said.

He said he will fastrack the process of giving bursaries to children as the school opens.

“We had problems with the bursary scholarship which was supposed to be paid now but hasn’t due to the transition process, I want to ask for the patient. I have met with the chief officer of education and we have agreed that after I am sworn in as the governor we will look at ways of taking funds to school so that our children will not stay at home due to lack of fees.

“I urge principals of schools to be patient for at least one week so that we may process the same,” said the Bungoma governor-elect.
