I WILL NOT TOLERATE INTERFERENCE IN LEARNING INSTITUTIONS – FCPA BARASA
Kakamega County Governor-elect FCPA Fernandes Barasa has cautioned politicians against interfering with learning institutions in the County.
He made the remarks during the funeral service of the late Principal of Shitoto Girls Secondary school Madam Lily Wanga Mbati at Ebwaliro village, Mumias East Sub-County on Saturday where he noted that for education standards to thrive, all stakeholders including the community should accord teachers maximum support and cooperation.
“Teachers should discharge their duties without fear of victimisation from anyone; we should all work towards making our institutions a better place for our young ones,” the Governor-elect said. He was reacting to reports by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) that politicians were interfering with running of learning institutions in the Sub-County.
The Governor-elect used the platform to thank the electorate for voting for him during the just concluded gubernatorial elections in the County assuring residents that he will serve and distribute resources equitably across the sixty wards of Kakamega County.
“The outgoing Governor H.E Dr. FCPA Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has laid down a very good foundation that we will ride on to enhance service delivery to the residents.” he explained adding that his government will be all inclusive, representing the true face of Kakamega County.
