Mrs. Kapkory led the team of over 150 environmentalists in the exercise that seeks to plant over 10,000 trees in three days.

The deputy governor relayed her passion for the Mt. Elgon ecosystem and the county administration’s plans to revamp the otherwise underutilized resource.

She reiterated the desires and strategies by the county administration to make Trans Nzoia a tourism attraction region among the conservation programs in the water catchment area.

Assuring residents of full commitments by the county administration to restore the beauty and elegance of Trans Nzoia, Mrs. Kapkory expressed optimism that the exercise will be heightened further.

Jumbo Charge has been at the forefront of conservation measures in Trans Nzoia and the neighboring Bungoma county with a target to plant a million trees.
