Busia Governor Dr Paul Otuoma Names his Cabinet
Busia Governor Dr Paul Otuoma has named his cabinet.
The nominees will be forwarded to the County Assembly for subsequent vetting and approval before being given greenlight to serve.
Those appointed include:
1) Deputy Governor, HE Arthur Papa Odera and also CEC Water, Irrigation and Natural Resources
2) Topister Wanyama, CEC Finance, ICT and Economic Planning
3) Peter Odima, CEC Lands, Housing and Urban Development
4) Beatrice Nakholi, CEC Health and Sanitation
5) Andrew Nakitare, CEC Public Service Administration and Gender
6) Paul Ikwenye, CEC Sports, Culture and Social Services
7) Pamela Awuor, CEC Education and Vocational Training
8) Dr. Siplicious Mukok, CEC Agriculture, Livestock Fisheries, Climate Change, Blue Economy and Agribusiness
9) Mr. Omuse Olekachuna, CEC Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives
10) Eng. Andrew Meso, CEC Transport, Public works and Energy
He said following an ammendment in the Busia County Attorney’s office, the Governor has also appointed Innocent Omboko, an Advocate of the High Court to serve as the County Attorney.
Advisors in the Governors office are;
Solomon Abwaku- Public Administration and Human Resource Management,
Melsa Namangale- Economic Affairs,
Laurence Kuchio- Legal Affairs,
Hon. Mohammed Noor Ali- Head of Political guidance and minority affairs.
The Governor has also confirmed that the list of Chief Officers will be out in less than a month’s time.
