Speaker Albert Kochei Bolts out of Elgeyo Marakert Senatorial Race Supports JK Tanui
Speaker Albert Kochei has bolted out of the Elgeyo Marakawet Senatorial race and will now be supporting JK Tanui.
He called for the people of Elgeyo Marakwet to support his leadership.
“I would like to wish ALL the EMC Senatorial Aspirants Success in the upcoming UDA Primaries. I certainly know that any of them has got what it takes to push the Senate Agenda on behalf of EMC at the National Level,” he said.
“I wish to single out one JK Tanui for standing out TALL among all EQUALS. I am vouching for his Leadership and call upon the great people of EMC to give one Hon. Jonah Tanui aka JK Tanui an opportunity to serve as our 2nd Senator,” he added.
He said while serving as Soy South MCA between 2017-2022,he proved to be a leader of his kind, going out of his way to open up the marginalized ward to become a standard to be emulated. JK is a humble ,visionary and compassionate leader EMC has been yearning to have.
“If given a chance, I am certain he will not only unite our county better, but open opportunities for our Youths and continue legacy build by CS OKM,” he said.
This comes after he bolted out of the Elgeyo Marakwet senatorial race.
“In the Words of the late Prof. George Saitoti “ There comes a time that the Nation is Greater than an Individual” and it is because of this Consideration and in Consultation with my Political Strategic Team, Supporters, Family and people of goodwill from our county, that I will not be proceeding with the quest for the position of 2nd Senator, EMC. To this end, I wish to congratulate in advance the following 14 candidates who will be battling out during the UDA Nominations and I know anyone of them has the capacity to lead our county to the greater heights.,” he added.
