Financial Expert David Kemei Rotuk called on the government to come up with a program to help Kenyans on how to use the Hustler fund.

Speaking to the press in Eldoret town Rotuuk said
it’s sad that youths are not putting into good use the funds they loaned from the Hustler fund.

“I want to thank president William Ruto for launching the hustler fund as promised during the electioneering period. I want to urge both the National and County government to come up with a program that will sensitize Kenyans on how to use the funds since most of them are using them for their personal use and not a business,” said the financial expert.

He noted that Kenyans should keep in mind that the Hustler fund needs to be returned.

“National government through the Ministry of cooperatives should partner with County governments to ensure that the funds are put into prudent use. One should not take the loan for his personal use but should be business oriented,” he added.

He said Kenyans are privileged since the current government understands the problems facing Kenyans, especially youths, mama mbogas, and bodaboda while applying for loans.

“Before taking a loan ensure to know the business you want to do, and if you have a business what you will use the money for that is buying stock and ensure it will make a profit that will enable you to return the funds. After asking yourselves those questions you can now get a loan,” said the financial expert.

He noted that one can get a loan depending on the business one want to expand.

“After getting the money use it for business and not having a good time, ensure that you pay your money on time to have a good borrowing and paying record so that you can increase your limit. We should stop going to shylock and using and instead use the Hustler fund which has low interest compared to Sacco’s whose interest is more than 12 percent,” he added.

“If you return the money on time you will have a good record and can borrow a loan from all the loaning institutions including the Hustler fund itself,”

John Rugut a shoe shiner from Eldoret said the hustler fund has helped him to increase his stock.
“I received sh 500 from the Hustler fund which has helped me to buy brush and shoe polish and I am sure I will get a profit for me to repay the loan and take another,” John Rugut said.
Jeremiah Wainana a businessman called on the government to increase the loan limit saying the current is a drop in the ocean.

“We want the government to increase the loan limit from sh 500 to at least 20,000 which will help us in our business but sh 500 is a drop in the ocean,” he added.
