County Flags Off 12 Exhibitors For the 22nd East Africa Community Trade Fair
Uasin Gishu County government has flagged off 12 county exhibitors who are heading to Uganda for the 22nd East Africa Community Trade Fair.
The trade fair is expected to run from 8th – 18th December 2022 in Kampala.
Speaking during the flagging off ceremony County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Investment, Tourism Industrialization and Cooperatives Martha Cheruto affirmed that her sector is working towards promoting the Jua Kali sector and enterprise development both locally and internationally through value addition, textile and woodwork.
“I urge you to go and be champions as you are the face of the county we believe ib. The exhibitors were selected after going through a rigorous process,” said Cheruto.
Acting Trade Chief Officer Kipleting Mengich said that this year’s exhibition observed the largest number of exhibitors from the jua kali sector challenging them to raise their standards even higher.
On his part, Acting Cooperative and Enterprise Development Chief Officer Isaac Lagat called on them to use the opportunity and look for a network of their products noting that this may see them export their products across the East Africa Countries.
