First Lady Rachel Ruto Receives 100 bicycles to Mama Organization
The First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto on Thursday received a donation of 100 bicycles to Mama Organization by the Founder of Painted Wolves Limited Mr. Loic Amado.
She applauded Emboo River, the region’s first carbon-neutral resort, which lets visitors ride in solar-powered, noiseless, electric safari vehicles to take in our unique eco-system.
“It demonstrates that we have the ability to invent and produce top-notch homemade solutions to safeguard the environment,” she saids.
She says for a rural woman, a bicycle is not merely a mode of transportation; it is a tool that, improves her mobility, and livelihood.
“The time and energy saved with more efficient mobility are better used on activities with a greater economic value. Investing in non-motorized transport is one way we can all work to lessen our carbon footprint,” she added.
