Governor Bii Holds Talks With a Delegation From Finland
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii held a fruitful discussion with a delegation from Finland led by the city deputy mayor Mr. Pekka Salmi on the existing opportunities for our students.
The team also comprised Tampere University officials led by Dr. Carritas Prokui presented a progress report on the students and I am glad to note that they are progressing well with their studies.
During my campaigns, governor Bii promised to provide and improve linkages for our students that will also translate to a numerous of opportunities abroad.
“The Finland education program is a noble idea that has continued to offer affordable and quality education opportunities to our students. I am committed to enhancing efficiency in administrative management,” governor Bii said.
He said the motive and results of the program is noble and going forward, we shall be signing an MOU between the County and our parents besides the university to enhance transparency and efficiency of the program .
“While the government facilitates an affordable application process and continued monitoring of the students’ welfare abroad, parents also have an obligation to pay fees for their children so that they can advance their careers in Finland,” he added.
