Kakamega Contractors Put On Notice over Delayed Completion of Projects
The Chief Officer for Urban Areas and Physical Planning Mr Patrick Butichi has issued a 30 day ultimatum to two contractors to complete construction of Masingo and Sichirayi Markets.
The CO gave the directive after conducting an impromptu inspection of Sichirayi market and instructed County Government officers charged with inspection and payment of the projects to carry out proper verification before making any payment for Government work done.
In line with Governor Fernandes Barasa’s agenda, the CO urged the Officers to be vigilant and to discharge their duties committedly to ensure the Governor’s manifesto is actualized.
Upon completion of the 56 stalls project at Masingo, congestion at the Kakamega Main Bus Park will be reduced as traders will be relocated to the new facility.
