Former Uasin Gishu deputy governor Daniel Chemno has applauded president William Ruto for appointing him chairperson of the Board of Directors for the New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union.

“I want to sincerely thank president William Ruto for believing in me by appointing me the chairperson of the Board of Directors for the New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union, I promise to work hard and will not let him down,” said Chemno.

Chemno vied for the Ainabkoi parliamentary seat in the August polls but was defeated
during the party primaries of the UDA party.

He served as governor Jackson Mandago’s deputy governor from 2013 to 2022.

Former Nandi County governor Cleophas Lagat was also appointed chairperson of the Board of Directors of Rivatex East Africa Limited.

After being defeated in the Keiyo South MP seat president Ruto has appointed Daniel Rono as chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA).

Former Elgeyo Marakwet women representative Jane Chebaibai was appointed chairperson of the Board of Directors Bomas of Kenya.
