Former Uasin Gishu CO Elected Young African Women Congress Vice President

Former Uasin Gishu Chief officer for Lands and Housing Adv Ruth Chelashaw has been elected the Vice President Young African Women Congress in the Network Global elections.

The seat was currently being held by Ghana’s Evelyn Ole Lamptey.

Jacqueline Nyapendi was elected President Young African Women Congress.

Chelashaw is an advocate of the High Court and currently working at the attorney General of Kenya’s office as Senior State Counsel.

She served in Governor Jackson Mandago’s administration as Chief officer from 2018-20212.

Chelasaw gave credit to his former boss governor Jackson Mandago for mentoring her.

“I am truly humbled boss. You are a true mentor. Thank you for believing in me and supporting this journey. God Bless you,” she said.
