Cleophas Malala Speaks After he was Appointed UDA Party SG
Former Kakamega gubernatorial aspirant Cleophas Malala has spoken after he was appointed UDA Party secretary general.
Malala vied for the Kakamega gubernatorial seat on an ANC party ticket but was defeated by the incumbent Fernandez Barasa who was vying on an ODM party ticket.
Through his official Facebook page he wrote “With the guidance of my party leader President William Samoei Ruto, I commit to diligently serve the UDA party. SO HELP ME GOD,”
Malala has been a staunch supporter of President William Ruto and campaigned with him across the country in the August polls.
The former Kakamega will replace nominated Senator Veronica Maina as the Secretary-General while Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire will take over from Johnson Muthama who is headed to the Parliamentary Service Commission as a member.
East African Legislative Assembly MP Hassan Omar has also been named as the Vice Chairperson replacing Kipruto Arap Kirwa while Japheth Nyakundi MP Kitutu Chache replaces as the Treasurer.
Mwala Member of Parliament will be the new Organizing Secretary replacing Karisa Nzai.
